The Possession-based Soccer Development Framework
Justin,
Using 4 in the back, do you use the outsiders as wingbacks? Or do you have at least one talent who can run up the side and have the defense click over one position into a functional 3-back line?
If you can use that person as an additional individual to overload the attack and serve as the winger, you can free up the numbers game in the box for criss-crossing on far and near post, maybe.
Just a thought! Let us know what you end up doing.

Hi guys,
My name is Taqee – ‘been following 3four3 and Gary/Brian for a while now, both on the blog and Twitter. I’m located in Minnesota (although, Sebastian – my wife is from Montreal) and have 2 young kids who are already better than I ever was. I’m eager to keep them away from garbage coaching, God help me.
First started coaching with Edina Soccer Club in the late ’90s. Took a break and then joined Tonka United, briefly, a few years ago – have some minimal ‘certs’ – but overall, have studied a lot of Mou, Pep, Bielsa in Spanish-language forums, in addition to accessing training sessions through InsideSoccer, etc. I am here because I am sure I do not know what I do not know and that is something I must know 🙂
Looking forward to building the future of football in America with you all.
