I also had a question about themes for sessions. Do you guys have a specific theme for each session where the main focus is pressing, playing out of the back, etc. or do you just have 2-4 main points or so that you focus on throughout the session? I know in USSF courses they always tell you to have a theme for each session, but spending an entire practice on “how to dribble” seems pointless to me. I bring this up because the last session posted clearly has a theme in losing your man, but the previous session is more varied starting with throw-in’s and then moving to attacking patterns.
Yeah, you couldn’t see the video and aside from seeing the positional rondo activity, I think everything else I was able to figure out by Brian and Gary talking. However I would like to see a diagram of the activity as well. My only question is what happens when the ball gets played to the 9 at the end of the sequence (does he go score a goal, or is he just played to for a point like a target player?), and then also where are the 3 neutral players? Are all three inside the grid with the other 12?
