The view from someone born and raised in Argentina and played at an academy.
Argentina is extremely dis-organized when it comes to futbol, there aren’t soccer clubs in every neighborhood like the USA.
For example I wasn’t found until I was 12 years old. I didn’t even play organized futbol until I was 13. By the time I was placed in an academy, I had all the technical aspects required, teaching me the principles of the game was easy
The average Argentine pibe plays 25-34 hours a week, this is small-sided street soccer.
In Argentina the dribbler, is admired, everyone wants to see the next Maradona… everyone wants to be the next maradona…
There’s a lot the USA needs to change to make it as a global leader, and it starts with people that join this forum.
