Happy Xmas to you all.
Any interesting presents, especially football related would be interested to hear. I bought this for myself http://www.thesoccerstore.co.uk/football-training-equipment/department/rebounders/crazy-catch-upstart-double-trouble Also received Trainers, IQ quiz (it is hard, or I am dumb) and a comedy DVD from the wife.
Thanks, David and same to you. I bought myself this subscription a few days early. The wife will see the credit card receipt eventually;-) However, in all honesty, I have learned more from 3Four3 over the past year than anywhere else, and felt glad to pay the money.
My Christmas present was this 3four3 subscription, and I agree with Terry about how much I’ve learned from the Kleibans. Well worth it. I also bought For the Love of the Ball by Albert Folch. I haven’t finished yet, but it’s great so far.
As always, I received quite a few books. I have already read through Guillem Balague’s biography of Pep Guardiola and Daniel Willingham’s Why Students Don’t Like School. Willingham’s book is not soccer-specific, but I thought it offered a very comprehensive and useful explanation of the cognitive processes involved with learning. I didn’t enjoy the Pep biography quite as much, but it still offered quite a few insights. If Jed Davies checks out this thread, I’m looking forward to starting on Coaching the Tiki-Taka Style of Play tomorrow.
Received Harry Redknapps autobiography for xmas.
Have Jed C book, very good read.
I’ve read Willingham’s book and it’s excellent, though aimed at classroom teachers. Lots of carryover between teaching and coaching though, so it’s still very useful. (I work in both arenas, but I think I’d move to full-time coaching if the right opportunity presented itself.)
