Well before everyone was talking about Barcelona, a maverick coach in England who fell out with the FA, after debunking their coaching programme, set up his own coaching programme. It is all about individualism and governing the ball. Here are a few videos of the coaching seminars, not easy to really tell what is going on, but it does work and teams are having success with it. What I have always like about this is how the work gradually builds up, using a concept based on street football, never a drill or a line of players. Players are coached to be brave, but clever in tight areas, constantly looking to rotate positions and possession with penetration is what it is all about.
