A few questions on pressing with the front 5 and what the back 5 does if it is broken.
1) On opposing goal kicks do you press high to say the 18 to prevent building directly from the goal kick or do you back off a little bit to allow them to make the first pass before hounding them? Or something other than that?
2) If the front 5 are pressing the opposing team gets past them would you prefer the back 5 to delay/retreat or be right there to continue pressure?
I am somewhat familiar with the ‘win the ball in 6 seconds’ theory but not sure what happens if the opposing team breaks the front 5’s press.
3) A question generated from that is how far do you want your wingers to track back?
